E-Star Alternative Plc published its July Flash Report yesterday evening. Figures came in in line with our expectations with negative EBITDA from Romania and Poland, while Hungary generated positive EBITDA but no significant cash inflow as the major municipality clients do not pay their bills. Cash at hand at the end of the period stands at € 2.1m.
Net sales came in at € 3,386k (-5% m/m), while EBITDA decreased to € -113k in July from € -54k in June. This, however, should not be a surprise as heat consumption drops significantly during summer months.
Hungary: Net sales and reported EBITDA increased 35% and 22% respectively in July, thus Hungary is still the only country that delivers positive EBITDA during the summer. On the other hand, overdue receivables has increased further, thus positive EBITDA does not indicate cash inflow.
Poland: Due to the high average temperature, heat consumtion was negligible in July, thus net sales dropped 32% m/m to € 1,364k. EBITDA also decreased significantly from € -40k in June to € -191k in July.
Romania: In line with the previously published plans, the Company continued to shutting down its operation at Zalau and Targu Mures locations in order to fully close these projects down. However, EBITDA came in below previous months figure at € -200k (loss on EBITDA line increased 20%).
