In particular, weakening demand from China weighed on sales figures. The German sports car manufacturer Porsche has suffered a damper in sales in the first half of the year. From January to June, 155,945 vehicles were delivered worldwide, according to the Stuttgart-based carmaker. That is almost seven percent less than in the same period last year. The renewal of several models also contributed to the lower sales figures. Business in China in particular was worse, where 29,551 cars were sold, a third fewer vehicles. Porsche justified the weakening demand in the Far East with the tense economic situation. But sales also declined in North America. However, Porsche was able to record growth in terms of sales in Europe, especially in the German market, which was able to increase by a good fifth.
